IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO ALL PARENTS AND GUARDIANS - in the Wateree Student Code of Conduct, the Tardy policy states: "Your child deserves the opportunity to be in class on time, to share the morning activities and to enjoy the beginning of the day. Students who are not in their classrooms at 7:40 are tardy and must go to the office for a tardy note that will require a parent signature. Parents must sign their child in at the office and sign the tardy sheet at that time rather than waiting for a note to be sent home for signature. Parents are responsible for their child's punctuality. More than 5 unexcused tardies (and/or early dismissals) will be referred to the principal."
This policy also includes children who eat the school breakfast. Please be sure to bring your child to school in time to be able to eat and be in their classroom by 7:40 a.m.
CAFETERIA NEWS! We are continuing to serve breakfast in the Cafeteria and look foward to EVERYONE coming in in the mornings and having a good breakfast before the school day begins. We would LOVE for every student to come eat breakfast every morning! Please remember that breakfast is INCLUDED in free/reduced meal designation. Breakfast helps all our children stay alert and ready to learn! Mr. Bob and our cafeteria ladies begin serving right after 7:00 a.m. so bring your children in so they will have time to eat and be in their classrooms by the 7:40 a.m. tardy time.

eChalk Parent Accounts
Parents of elementary school students can register for an eChalk Parent Account at http://wes.kcsdschools.com/parents/register
. (All parents must create a new account for the 2013-14 School Year.)
Middle & high school students require a District ID number, which you will receive in a letter from the school that will be sent home soon. This information will allow parents to access the student's homework schedule and view class pages directly.
Additional information on eChalk Parent Accounts - including a video walk-through - are available on the district website at www.kershaw.k12.sc.us/district/instruction/echalk

Students/Staff/Parents simply send in the bottle cap from participating Coke products. These include Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Cherry Coke, Fanta, Mello Yello, and Dasani Water. There is a wide range of products. These caps are found on individual bottles, 1 and 2 liter bottles, and they are typed on the inside of 12- and 24-pack boxes. PLEASE ONLY SEND IN CAPS AND CODES THAT HAVE NOT PREVIOUSLY BEEN ENTERED!
Send these items to the school with your student. Then, their teacher and WES will do the rest. Thank you all for your support for our school!
It may be COLD outside...but students were WARMLY greeted by Mrs. Stehle as they arrived.
