 School Announcements 
 Beginning of the School Day schedule. Instruction begins at 7:40 a.m. and children will be tardy if not in their classrooms by 7:45 a.m. The car rider area doors will be closed at 7:40 and all students arriving after 7:45 must be signed in at the office by a parent.
Breakfast in the cafeteria begins at 7:15 a.m. and ends at 7:40 a.m. so students can get to class before the 7:45 a.m. tardy time.
 The Car Rider Gate gate will be closed daily immediately following morning drop off and will not be opened until 2:00 in the afternoons for car lineup. We urgently request that you come AFTER 2:00 to begin lining up for after-school pick-up. Thank you for helping us make Wateree Elementary a safe place for our students to learn.
 Dress Code Reminder - Our students are growing leaps and bounds! Last year's clothes are 3 inches shorter, and the waist bands won't fasten. Please make sure that the dresses, shorts, and skirts are knee length. Flip flops are also dangerous and may not be worn to school. ALL shoes that have rollers on them are also prohibited from school. Ball players are reminded that cleats should not be worn to school. Thank for dressing your child with caution.

Please be sure to use the Main Entrance when entering the school.
 FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR CHILDREN -- Parents, because of our efforts to provide a SAFE learning environment for our children, only the main entrance is available for entry into the building during the school day. Everyone is REQUIRED by school policy to sign in the office whenever you are come onto school property. All other doors are secure doors and ARE NOT TO BE OPENED by students or teachers to let ANYONE--parents, visitors, or even other school staff--into the school building. Thank you.

STAYING ON TRACK -MID-YEAR!
It is hard to believe that half of the school year is behind us! There is still a lot of LEARNING to do at Wateree before the school year ends. Everyone in our school family - students, teachers, parents, family and friends, administrators, district and community partners, -shares in the education of our children. Wateree Elementary School is a great place to inspire, motivate, and educate our students. We are proud to provide a warm and nurturing school environment, where everyone feels safe, and student learning is a priority . Our teachers and staff go the EXTRA MILE to develop and implement effective instructional activities that meet the needs of every child. Our parent support is also important to the success of our students. THANK YOU, to each of you for showing your "cardinal" school pride and support of Wateree Elementary School...
